7 Steps On How To Beome Addicted To Success

7 Steps On How To Become Addicted To Success
Many people read Rich Dad Poor Dad but they forget that they are their greatest asset.

Our minds and our hearts bring our greatest return on investment.

Successful people are investors, in their dreams and the dreams of others.

Here are 7 steps on how to become addicted to success:

 1. Ask questions

Knowledge is potential power and questions are the healthiest way to grow your knowledge.

By asking questions we are able to understand how things work and those who understand how things work can make things work.

Ask lots of questions, ask big questions, and ask small questions. It help build your understanding.

Jim Rohn open up “Success is something you attract by who you become”

2. Think like a gardener

Gardeners prepare the soil before they plant their seeds, when its time to reap the benefits of their harvest they are always glad that they did.

Gardeners also have crops on different cycles because not every crop has an equal return or grows at the same time of year.
Imagine the different crops to be revenue streams, networks, hobbies etc.
Gardeners are people who pay forward, they understand that in order to receive first they must give.
Be willing to provide value first.
Look for the weeds in your garden, pull them out and don’t let others ruin your garden.

3. Immersion learning

Immerse yourself in as much learning as you can. For example:
Learn by doing, get involved, find things out, connect with people in the know, join a group and on various points on the path, always learn with energy. While reading immerse yourself in the book.

Do things with a high level of awareness and concentration. Become a student of life. Be willing to invest time and money into your never-ending growth.

Take classes, read books, join groups, start groups, experiment, explore and make use of the results.

 4. Make a decision and take massive action
‘What is something everyone can make no matter their circumstance? A Decision’ – Elliott Kennefick
Decisions change circumstances.
Decide what is your desired outcome, lose weight, more family time, make 100million, or all of the above.
Whatever it is decide to take ownership of your decision and don’t be afraid or embarrassed by others opinions of your decision.

Research how to make this a reality, this is where the questioning begins.
You want to buy a plot of land? How much is a plot of land? You want to lose weight? How can you lose weight while working 40 hour weeks? Who is already getting the results you want?

Plot out the steps to the achievement of your goal.
Once you have decided let nothing stop you and take massive action to gain momentum.
Imagine a rocket blasting off, a massive eruption that leaves behind a crater. Let this be how you take action.
As a child my mum would say Benson when you need anything is always a must. Probably that style inform my being a very hardworking person. Oh! Yes, when it come to beat deadline you can count on me.
And I also understand that the bigger the vision (mass) the bigger the action (force) needed to move it, but once moving it becomes difficult to stop. A decision should be followed by an action towards its achievement.

5. Track your progress

Become someone that is interested in data/stats (or hire someone who is) because that is how improvement or decline is measured.

Accounting is the heart rate monitor of all activities. It provides feedback which is something successful people feed off.

A diary on how your day is a way of accounting.

By keeping records in different areas of your life you can see patterns and go back in time to see how you were getting a particular result which will be helpful to repeat successes and avoid repeating failures.
Just last week, a senior friend who is doing refresher course overseas trusted me to consulted for him. While on it a met this business woman who told 'I don't keep record of my business because am not accountable to anybody'. I couldn't persuade her much but the truth is “If you cannot measure it you cannot manage it”.

6. Grow your network and remove weeds

‘Your network = Your net worth’
Feed your network.
Nurture your network.
Network upward and downward.
Socialize with people that you respect, people that are moving forward.

Your network allows you to tap into opportunities and introductions that members of your network come across by connecting you with their network.

One person in your network can literally contribute to the transformation of your life for the better or the worst. Be mindful of your network.

 7. Integrity

Be reliable! How?
If you say you’re going to do something do it, be who you say you are.

Look for win-win solutions because when you do then you become a pleasure to deal with and people will seek to win with you.

“You can’t make a good deal with a bad person” – Zig Ziglar

These are the principles to get addicted to success there are many more principles that will help you on your journey. Uncover them!

Do You Really Know What You Want In Life?
What goal presently excites and energizes you? When you are alone and away from everyone else, what do you dream of becoming, doing, possessing? When people hear your name spoken, what do they automatically think of? What legacy do you want to pass on to others?
Few People Really Know What They Want. They do not realize that their dream is either born within them or borrowed from someone else. I have talked to so many people who admitted that their present pursuit was simply something their mother or father desired for them... something others expected of them...the result of a convenient opportunity that never became their own personal vision. How disappointing that most people never pursue their own inner passion. But that person does not have to be you.
Your Dream Is Closer Than You Can Imagine. Your dream is completely obtainable. Recognize it. Embrace it. Pursue it. This is your season to do something significant with your life.
If You Don’t Know What You Really Want, Who Are You Going To Ask?
If You Don’t Know Where You Belong, You Will Adapt To Where You Are.
King Solomon Was The Richest Man Who Ever Lived. He knew what he wanted. He was passionate about his Dream.
Passionate people become powerful people.
Passionate people create excitement and enthusiasm.
Passionate people generate waves of favor that naturally attract access and promotion.
Solomon Had A Passion To Create Something Unique And Incredible For God. He did not consult a committee. He did not ask his family for permission. He did not conduct a poll to seek the opinion of others. He reached into his own heart. He looked at the photograph of his own Dream. He expanded his personal vision beyond the limits of what anyone else said he could do. He boldly announced his dream...a dream too big to contain...a dream that consumed his time...his Mind...his conversation...every waking hour of his day. The Clearer Your Goals, The Greater Your Faith.
Solomon Was A Master In Achievements. Few men in history equal his magnificent works.
Dear, Your Dream Is Closer Than It Has Ever Been In Your Lifetime. The Golden Keys of Success are within your reach. You do not need a lot of keys to enter a bank vault...just the right key. Little keys often unlock huge treasures. Your life can change. Your success can be multiplied.
Stay focused on these Success Secrets. Think and meditate about your Palace of Greatness...The Place you have always dreamed of being. It is where you belong.

How Far Can Your Dreams Take You?

How Far Can Your Dreams Take You?
... as far as the power of your imagination and motivation - Denis Waitley answered.
Imagination and motivation are powerful things, and with them on your side, you have all the reason in the world to achieve your grandest dreams.
Need proof?
Take the story of how the first bridge over the Niagara River near Niagara Falls was built in 1847….
You see, to build a bridge over the giant gorge, the builders first had to get a line over the canyon, from one side to the other—from the United States to Canada with roaring rapids underneath. Except the engineers couldn’t cross the river in a boat because it would go over the falls, the airplane hadn’t been invented yet, and the distance was way beyond bow-and-arrow range.
The designing engineer, Charles Ellet, pondered the dilemma until he came up with a revolutionary idea: to sponsor a kite flying contest. A $5 prize (a small lottery back then!) would go to the person who could fly a kite across the gorge and let it go low enough to the ground for someone on the other side to grab the string. It was successful—a young American boy won the contest on his second attempt.

The kite string, fastened to a tree, was used to pull a cord across, then a line, then a rope. Next came an iron-wire cable and then steel cables, until a structure strong enough to build a suspension bridge was in place. The bridge opened on August 1, 1848. And it all began with an idea and one thin kite string.
That string is like a single thought. The more vivid and clear the thought, and the more you come back to it, the stronger it becomes—like the string to the rope to the cable. Each time you rethink it, dwell on it or layer it with other thoughts, you are strengthening the structure on which to build your idea, like building a bridge over Niagara Falls.
But unlike a kite, there is no string attached to how high and how far your goals may take you. They are limited only by the power of your imagination and the strength of your desire.

A lot of us never see our dreams come true. Instead of soaring through the clouds, our dreams languish like a broken-down airplane confined to its hangar.
"The lord said to Abraham, ..... look from where thou art as far as you can see, to thee will I give it and thy seed for ever". - Gen 13:14-15. The problem with many of us is that we cannot see any thing. But a wise man once said 'If you can envision it you could have it'

Through life, I have come to identify five common reasons why dreams don’t take flight:
1. We have been discouraged from dreaming by others.
We have to pilot our own dreams; we cannot entrust them to anyone else. People who aren’t following their own dreams resent us pursuing ours. Such people feel inadequate when we succeed, so they try to drag us down.
If we listen to external voices, then we allow our dreams to be hijacked. At some point, other people will place limitations on us by doubting our abilities. When surrounded by the turbulence of criticism, we have to grasp the controls tightly to keep from being knocked off course.
2. We fall into the habit of settling for average.
Average is the norm for a reason. Being exceptional demands extra effort, sustained inspiration and uncommon discipline. When we attempt to give flight to our dreams, we have to overcome the weight of opposition. Like gravity, life’s circumstances constantly pull on our dreams, tugging us down to mediocrity.
Most of us don’t pay the price to overcome the opposition to our dreams. We may start out inspired, but through time we fatigue. Although never intending to abandon our dreams, we begin to make concessions here and there. Through time, our lives become mundane, and our dreams slip away.
3. We are hindered by past disappointments and hurts.
In the movie Top Gun, Tom Cruise plays Maverick, a young, talented and cocky aviator who dreams of being the premier pilot in the U.S. Navy. In the film’s opening scenes, Maverick showcases his flying ability but also displays a knack for pushing the envelope with regards to safety. Midway through the movie, Maverick’s characteristic aggression spells disaster. His plane crashes, killing his best friend and co-pilot.
Although cleared of wrongdoing, the painful memory of the accident haunts Maverick. He quits taking risks and loses his edge. Struggling to regain his poise, he considers giving up on his dream. The incident nearly wrecks Maverick’s career, but he eventually reaches within to find the strength to return to the sky.
Like Maverick, many of us live with the memory of failure embedded in our psyche. Perhaps a business we started went broke, or we were fired from a position of leadership. Disappointment is the gap that exists between expectation and reality, and all of us have encountered that gap. Failure is a necessary and natural part of life, but if we’re going to attain our dreams, then, like Maverick, we have to summon the courage to deal with past hurts.
4. We lack the confidence needed to pursue our dreams.
Dreams are fragile. They will be buffeted by assaults from all sides. As such, they must be supplied with the extra strength of self-confidence.
In Amelia Earhart’s day, women were not supposed to fly airplanes. If she had lacked self-assurance, she never would have even attempted to be a pilot. Instead, Earhart confidently chased after her dream, and she was rewarded with both fulfillment and fame.
5. We are missing the imagination to dream.
For thousands of years, mankind traveled along the ground: by foot, by horse-and-buggy, by locomotive and eventually by automobile. Thanks to the dreams of Orville and Wilbur Wright, we now hop across oceans in a matter of hours. The imaginative brothers overcame ridicule and doubt to pioneer human flight, and the world has never been the same.
Many of us play small because we do not allow ourselves to dream. We trap ourselves in reality and never dare to go beyond what we can see with our eyes. Imagination lifts us beyond average by giving us a vision of life that surpasses what we are experiencing currently. Dreams infuse our spirit with energy and spur us on to greatness.
Never stop dreaming!

Nothing Is Ever As Bad As It First Appears.
Just yesterday I was with little or zero naira when I left for the house of God but at a returned I was blessed by a care minded.

Listen to this: No situation is final and no condition is permanent. Jesus was on The Cross 3 days before The Resurrection. What you think is a loss is an investment. Nothing Is Ever As Bad As It First Appears. Bad times activate worthy relationships. Jonathan met David in a crisis time. Ruth met Boaz in a crisis season. Esther was recognised in a crisis moment. Bad Times Bring Good People Together.
Quitting Does Not Improve Your Life. Quitting has no reward. What do you get? Regret…shame…guilt…multiplied fear…loss of Faith.

7 Personality Traits of a Great Leader Not Taught in Schools.

If you want to be a leader who attracts quality people, the key is to become a person of quality yourself. Leadership is the ability to attract someone to the gifts, skills and opportunities you offer as an owner, as a manager, as a parent. Jim Rohn calls leadership the great challenge of life.
What’s important in leadership is refining your skills. All great leaders keep working on themselves until they become effective. Here’s how:
1. Learn to be strong but not impolite. It is an extra step you must take to become a powerful, capable leader with a wide range of reach. Some people mistake rudeness for strength. It's not even a good substitute.
2. Learn to be kind but not weak we must not mistake weakness for kindness. Kindness isn't weak. Kindness is a certain type of strength. We must be kind enough to tell someone the truth. We must be kind enough and considerate enough to lay it on the line. We must be kind enough to tell it like it is and not deal in delusion.
3. Learn to be bold but not a bully. It takes boldness to win the day. To build your influence, you've got to walk in front of your group. You've got to be willing to take the first arrow, tackle the first problem, discover the first sign of trouble. Like the farmer, if you want any rewards at harvest time, you have got to be bold and face the weeds and the rain and the bugs straight on. You've got to seize the moment.
4. Learn to be humble but not timid. You can't get to the high life by being timid. Some people mistake timidity for humility. But humility is a virtue; timidity is a disease. It's an affliction. It can be cured, but it is a problem. Humility is almost a God-like word—a sense of awe, a sense of wonder, an awareness of the human soul and spirit, an understanding that there is something unique about the human drama versus the rest of life. Humility is a grasp of the distance between us and the stars, yet having the feeling that we're part of the stars.
5. Learn to be proud but not arrogant. It takes pride to build your ambitions. It takes pride in your community. It takes pride in a cause, in accomplishment. But the key to becoming a good leader is to be proud without being arrogant. Do you know the worst kind of arrogance? Arrogance from ignorance. It's intolerable. If someone is smart and arrogant, we can tolerate that. But if someone is ignorant and arrogant, that's just too much to take.
6. Learn to develop humor without folly. In leadership, we learn that it's OK to be witty but not silly; fun but not foolish.
7. Learn to deal in realities. Deal in truth. Save yourself the agony of delusion. Just accept life as it is—the whole drama of life. It's fascinating.
Life is unique. Leadership is unique. The skills that work well for one leader may not work at all for another. However, the fundamental skills of leadership can be adopted to work well for just about everyone: at work, in the community and at home.
To Your Success!

Laziness!

Laziness is the secret ingredient that goes into failure (poverty), but it's only kept a secret from the person who fails.

This reminds me of the story of a particular man, who missed out on his blessing by failing to turn up when God wanted to favour him. The fellows's relation pleaded with God saying, "Oh God my relative on earth is so poor and he needs your help".
God replied, "I'm really interested in blessing him but he is so LAZY that he won't be interested in receiving the help". Out of concern, the relative said: "Oh God, please give him a chance". "Okay", said God, "just watch".
God dispatched someone with a bag full of gold saying, "Take this to that man, I just want to favour him with this bag. He will be rich for life". Within a very short time, the bag of gold was placed at the entrance of the lazy Marga. The heavenly messenger knocked at the man's door saying; "We have a special message for you from the Almighty God". The man simply managed a drawling; Gentlemen, don't disturb me, I'm tired and I need to take a good rest. I just can't get out of the bed, don't disturb my rest. "The message we have brought for you, is very important. Is an emergency, just open your door and take the message", persisted the messenger.
The man refused to be persuaded and insisted, " you are simply constituting nuisance to the neighbourhood, stop disturbing me, just go away". The heavenly messenger had no option than to take the bag of gold back to heaven.

He's so lazy that if there were work in bed, he would rather sleep on the floor.

My prayer for you, is that you won't ever miss out on your opportunities, when they come knocking at the door. But before you say Amen; Go to the ant, ..... Consider her ways, and be wise. Proverb 6:6-11. In other words, "The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he is an unwise son; for when it time to be born, he refused to come out". - Hosea 13:13.

Being a couch potato is dangerous, someone may get hungry and eat you!

How Mad Can You Be?

Colonel Sanders who retired from the railroad was broke and alone at 65years he got his first social security check for $105 and he got mad. But instead of blaming society or just writing congress a nasty note, he started asking himself, “what could I do that would value for other people? His first answer was, “well I have this chicken recipe from my mother that everyone seems to love!”
So with a beat-up car he went and started knocking on doors, telling each restaurant owner his story; “I’ve got great chicken recipe, and I think if you use it, it will increase your sales. And I like to get a percentage of that increase.”
Well, many people laughed. They said, “look, old man, get out of here. What are you wearing that stupid white suit for?” instead of feeling bad about the last restaurant that had rejected his idea, he immediately started focusing on how to tell his story more effectively and get better results from the next restaurant. He spent two years driving across American in his old, beat-up car, sleeping in the back seat in his rumpled white suit because he couldn’t afford a motel room, getting up each day eager to share his idea with someone new. Often, the only food he has was a quick bite of the sample he was preparing for prospective buyers.
All in all, Colonel Sanders was rejected 1,009 times before he heard his first yes. Today, there are thousand of Kentucky Friend Chicken Franchises in hundreds of countries all over the world. How many of us quit after tries, ten tries, a hundred tries, and we say we tries as hard as we could?
Like a great motivator Uju Onyechere would ask; “How many people would have come up with the excuse of being too old?” At 65, don’t you think it’s a genuine excuse to say “oh I guess am too old to start running around, to start something new, I better settle down and enjoy my pension or better still wait for my children to take care of me”. Not that there is anything wrong in enjoying the fruits of your hard labour, either as pension or your children taking care of you. But if you enjoy what you do, retirement will be the last thing that will come to your mind. People who consider their jobs as having fun and are so passionate about what they do, will always want to go on and on.
How many doors did he have to knock on before he got his first order? One thousand and nine times before he heard his first yes. Yes! 1,009 times before the first order.
It’s never too early or too late to make a mark your lifetime. Live today as if it’s the last day of your life, that way you will give the world your best.
As we part ways for now, remember the words of Irish Critic George Bernard Shaw “It is those individuals who know what they want in life and who are willing to go after it, regardless of the circumstance around them, who go on to make a difference in the world”.
When it comes to Human capital development, you can bank on Skyhigh Motivational.

No Body Want To Accept Responsibilities

Once upon a time there were four people named Everybody, Somebody, Nobody and Anybody.
When there was an important job to be done, Everybody was sure Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did.
When Nobody did it,
Everybody got angry because it was Somebody's job.
Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Somebody realized that Nobody would do it.
So it ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody that Nobody did what Anybody could have done in the first place.

You see, we live in an age where nobody is willing to accept responsibilities. Every Mara in town is defencive to everything and shifting blame and give alibis.
Children blame their parents, parents blame teachers, teachers blame the government, government inturn blame judiciary, judiciary blame police, police cannot but return the cartridge to the government.

If we each take responsibility in shifting our own behaviour, we can trigger the type of change that is necessary to achieve sustainability for our race or this planet. We change our planet, our environment, our humanity every day, every year, every decade, and every millennia.

Jesus gladly bear the responsibility of the cross to save mankind. Remember!

Nothing Is Impossible

Welcome to this edition, as I drills you on another interesting topic.
I make bold to say that 'nothing is impossible' under the sun. How do I come to this conclusion? The Bible says “…they are one people with the same language for all of them, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. Nothing that they have a mind to do will be IMPOSSIBLE for them!” –Genesis chapter eleven verse 6. Another translation says ‘nothing they plan to do will be beyond them’; yet, God Word Translation puts it ‘Nothing they plan to do will be too difficult for them, King James 2000 Bible sum it up; ‘Nothing will be retrained from them, which they have imagined to do. That means nothing will be witholden from you, which you have purpose to do. But there is a problem today, what is it? They are many children of God who are going about imagining nothing, planning nothing and purpose nothing, such people had either believe in impossible, resign to fate or at worse, nothing inspired them. Whatever it is with you I say nothing is impossible?
An International Speaker Author and Motivational Speaker, once sat across the dest of Philip Johnson, a renounced Architect. The motivator had a dream he wanted to share with Mr. Johnson. He wanted him to design a church building that would be all-glass structure.
“That is impossible”. Mr. Johnson said without hesitation. There and then, the motivator handed him a small dictionary, and told him to look up the world ‘impossible’. Philip Johnson was startle, and to his shock, he saw that someone had cut out the word impossible from the dictionary with a razor.
“That is right,” said the motivator. “The world impossible does not exist in my vocabulary”. It was a gag, but Mr. Johnson got the message, and went ahead to design what is now one of the world’s most beautiful cathedrals – The Crystal Cathederal in Garden Grove, Orange County California, USA, which was dedicated in Septemer, 1980.
We must have to believe. We must have to discover, understand and utilize the potential within us. It was Maric Curie who once observed that “Life is not easy for any of us, but what of that? We must have perseverance and above all, confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that thing, at whatever cost, must be attained”.
Francois de La Rocheucauld lift my mood “Nothing is impossible; there are ways that lead to everything, and if we had sufficient will we should always have sufficient means. It is often merely for an excuse that we say things are impossible”.
Musa, a Lebanese understand that nothing is impossible to a willing heart. He encountered one of the usual problems in their region which devastated everything in their environment. And so towards Jordan he went with others.
On getting to a point in the desert, he decided that he was going to find water if he digs for it. When he announced this, he was greeted with Jeers and laughter. He was told one million reasons by experts why it will not be possible to find water and even if they do, that it will be salt water. To the people, he was a fool in fact a mad man.
But Musa believed in his dream. So the next day they began to dig for water, not with any sophisticated equipment but with their hands and anything they could find around in the desert. Day after day, under the sun they kept on digging. And for six months nothing happened.
‘I must say darkness comes. In the middle of it, the future look blank. The temptation to quit is huge. But he didn’t quite, he argued with himself that there is a way forward. He might understand that God has more ropes and ladders and tunnels out of pits than he can conceived’.
Then one day the sand became dump and with a little more digging they saw water. Not just water but fresh water. They did not jubilate but where is tears. Their persistence has paid off. One of them had this to say, “Now I can die, I’ve seen water come from the desert”.
Nothing is impossible in this world. Firm determination, it is said, can move heaven and earth. Things appear far beyond one’s power, because one cannot set his heart on any arduous project due to want of strong will. If determination is your anchor, they will be a constant supply of energy to accomplish your goal. I want to predict something historic “I’m going to become a President of Nigeria by the year 2039”. (Nothing is impossible).
According to Orison Swett Marden, “Confidence is the father of achievement. It reinforces ability, doubles energy, buttresses mental faculties, increases power” The key is in your hands.
God is a God of purpose; he does noting without a purpose. The purpose and plan of God for you is to excel and prospers. God has placed possibility at the finger tips of everyone. Infact God has made everything available to enable you to exceed boundaries it is now your responsibility to walk into it and tap that possibility.
Dear, I want to assure you that God the owner of our vision has promise to make a provision because he has given us the auction which is the solution to every situation. Once again, Nothing is impossible!
Be careful what you call impossible!

Love, Ludus Or Pragma

I woke up on saturday morning burden on the subject of Love. My thinking faculty begins to race thus:
What is Love?
Why is Love dramatised everywhere even in action movies?
Is Love one of the reciepe for success?
Intellectual decode:
God is love.
Love is life's greatest blessing.
Love is the essence of human existence.
Love is a survival tool – a mechanism we have evolved to promote long-term relationships.

To the physicist: 'Love is chemistry'

Biologically: 'Love is a powerful neurological condition like hunger or thirst, only more permanent.'

To the Psychotherapist: 'Love has many guises'

Unlike us, the ancients did not lump all the various emotions that we label "love" under the one word. They had several variations, including:
Philia which they saw as a deep but usually non-sexual intimacy between close friends and family members or as a deep bond forged by soldiers as they fought alongside each other in battle.
Ludus describes a more playful affection found in fooling around or flirting.
Pragma is the mature love that develops over a long period of time between long-term couples and involves actively practising goodwill, commitment, compromise and understanding.
Agape is a more generalised love, it's not about exclusivity but about love for all of humanity.
Philautia is self love, which isn't as selfish as it sounds.
Eros is about sexual passion and desire. Unless it morphs into philia and/or pragma, eros will burn itself out.

The philosopher: 'Love is a passionate commitment'

The romantic novelist: 'Love drives all great stories'

The nun: 'Love is free yet binds us'
Love is more easily experienced than defined.

The love Benson Adima seek to debate here is not just romantic love, but love in everything.
Love's the one thing that can never hurt anyone, although it may cost dearly. The paradox of love is that it is supremely free yet attaches us with bonds stronger than death. It cannot be bought or sold; there is nothing it cannot face; love is life's greatest blessing.
"For God so loved the world .........." Jn 3:16 "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends." Jn 15:13 ".........you shall love other humans as yourself......" Lev 19:18.
"Let no man who think of undergoing an enterprise without first fall in love with it expect no success." - Benson Adima.

Living The Dream.

One of my favorite inspirational stories is of a young African boy who crossed over 3,000 kilometers of hostile jungle territory on foot because he had a vision and determination.

Legson Didimu Kayira was born in the 1940s to a life of total poverty in the Tumbuka tribe, Malawi, but he dreamed of studying in the United States. When he was 16, he decided to make his way on foot to Egypt and find work on a ship sailing to the U.S. He left home with only a small ax, a blanket, a map of Africa, a map of the world, and two books—a Bible and a copy of The Pilgrim’s Progress.

Fifteen months later, Legson arrived in Kampala, Uganda, where he came across a directory of American colleges. He wrote to Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon explaining his situation and asking for a scholarship. The dean was so impressed he granted him both admission and a scholarship, while the student body collected $650 to cover his fare. In December 1960, Legson finally arrived at Skagit Valley College, still carrying nothing but what he’d left home with two years before.

Later, Legson became a professor at Cambridge University and authored six novels and the prize-winning autobiography, I Will Try.

Here’s another: In 1938, Soichiro Honda began developing a new piston ring, which he dreamed of selling to the Toyota Corporation, but it was rejected.

He went back to the drawing table, and two years later he had a new piston ring. This time, he won the contract with Toyota, but he had no factory, and concrete was rationed due to WW2. Undaunted, Mr. Honda invented a new formula for making concrete and got his factory built. Unfortunately, it was bombed—twice—and finally leveled by an earthquake.

After the war, Japan suffered a gasoline shortage. Mr. Honda couldn’t afford to drive his car, so he attached a small engine to his bicycle. His neighbors were soon asking him to make “motorized bikes” for them too and encouraging him to build a plant to manufacture his engines.

Because he had no capital, he wrote all 18,000 bike shop owners in Japan a personal letter, explaining his vision and asking for financial contributions. Five thousand of them agreed to advance him capital for his invention … and the rest, as they say, is history.

What these men, and others like them, have in common is that they refused to let the limitations of their circumstances limit their dreams.
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
What seems impossible with man is possible with God, trust in the lord and He will direct your path.
You Will Succeed!

Goodness, The Only Investment That Never Fails.

It  is a grand mistake to think of being great without goodness and I pronounce it as certain that there was never a truly great man that was not at the same time truly virtuous, Says Benjamin Franklin.

1 John 3:18 instructed "Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth."

John Wesley mused "Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, to all the souls you can, in every place you can, at all the times you can, with all the zeal you can, as long as ever you can".
While Albert Schweitzer (1875–1965) injected "Life becomes harder for us when we live for others, but it also becomes richer and happier."

Mikhail Bakunin remonstrated, Freedom, morality, and the human dignity of the individual consists precisely in this; that he does good not because he is forced to do so, but because he freely conceives it, wants it, and loves it.

In life, you can never do a kindness too soon because you never know how soon it will be too late.
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882), lamented

James Hamilton put forth "Goodness is love in action, love with its hand to the plow, love with the burden on its back, love following His footsteps who went about continually doing good."

Muhammad (570–632), decreed "Do not say that if the people do good to us, we will do good to them; and if the people oppress us, we will oppress them; but determine that if people do you good, you will do good to them; and if they oppress you, you will not oppress them."

Conquer a man who never gives by gifts; subdue an untruthful man by truthfulness; vanquish an angry man by gentleness; and overcome an evil man by goodness.
It is not what they profess but what they practice that makes them good.
-Indian and Greek proverb debated

The ideals which have always shone before me and filled me with the joy of living are goodness, beauty, and truth. To make a goal of comfort or happiness has never appealed to me; a system of ethics built on this basis would be sufficient only for a herd of cattle.
—Albert Einstein, mustered

Good is a product of the ethical and spiritual artistry of individuals; it cannot be mass-produced.
—Aldous Huxley

To be good is noble; but to show others how to be good is nobler and no trouble.
—Mark Twain

Henry David T. Concludes "Goodness is the only investment that never fails."

Practice, Practice, Practice
Life is not a holiday, but an education. What makes a person a good tennis player? Practice. What makes a person a good artist, a good sculptor, a good musician? Practice. What makes a person a good linguist? Practice. What makes a person a good person? Practice. Nothing else. If a person does not exercise his arm he develops no biceps muscle; and if a person does not exercise his soul, he acquires no muscle in his soul, no strength of character, no vigor of moral fiber, no beauty of spiritual growth.

Love is not a thing of enthusiastic emotion. It is a rich, strong, vigorous expression of the whole round Christian character—the Christ-like nature in its fullest development. And the constituents of this great character are only to be built up by ceaseless practice.
— Henry Drummond

Each day am determined and do some good no matter how little, because I understand the importance of kindness in man development and advancement, more importantly, I have been at the receiving ends of someworth goodness from many. To which I aspires to pay back but since I don't have the gold I do pay them in 'golden' pray for them. So if you have at any point been kind to me then be sure you have my prayers - Benson Adima.

Galatians 6:10, sum it ".... as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Four Things You Can Learn from A Child.

Remember the master teacher once said 2,000 years ago, “Unless you can become like little children, your chances are zero; you haven’t got a prayer.” This is a major consideration for adults. Be like children, and remember there are four ways to be more like a child no matter how old you get…

1. Curiosity
Be curious; embrace childish curiosity. What will kids do if they want to know something bad enough? You’re right. They will bug you. Kids can ask a million questions. You think they’re through, then they’ve got another million. They will keep plaguing you. They can drive you right to the brink.

Kids use their curiosity to learn. Have you ever noticed that while adults are stepping on ants, children are studying them? A child’s curiosity is what helps them to reach, learn and grow.

2. Excitement
Learn to get excited like a child. There is nothing that has more magic than childish excitement. So excited that you hate to go to bed at night… that you can’t wait to get up in the morning… that you’re about to explode. How can anyone resist that kind of childish magic?

Now, once in a while I meet someone who says, “Well, I’m a little too mature for all that childish excitement.” Isn’t that pitiful? You’ve got to weep for these kinds of people. All I’ve got to say is, “If you’re too old to get excited, you’re old.” Don’t get that old.

3. A Child's Faith
Faith is childish. How else would you describe it? Some people say, “Let’s be adult about it.” Oh, no. No. Adults too often have a tendency to be overly skeptical. Some adults even have a tendency to be cynical.

Adults say, “Yeah. I’ve heard that old positive line before. It will be a long day in June before I fall for that positive line. You’ve got to prove to me it’s any good.” See, that’s adult, but kids aren’t that way.

Kids think you can get anything. They are really funny. You tell them, “We’re going to have three swimming pools.” And they say, “Yeah. Three. One each. Stay out of my swimming pool.” See, they start dividing them up right away, but adults are not like that. Adults say, “Three swimming pools? You’re out of your mind. Most people don’t even have one swimming pool. You’ll be lucky to get a tub in the backyard.”

You notice the difference? No wonder the master teacher said, “Unless you can become like little children, your chances, they’re skinny.”

“Jesus loves me, this I know
For the Bible tells me so.”
Little children ask no more,
For love is all they’re looking for,
And in a small child’s shining eyes
The Faith of all the ages lies.

And tiny hands and tousled heads
That kneel in prayer by little beds
Are closer to the dear Lord’s heart
And of His kingdom more a part
Than we who search, and never find
The answer to our questioning mind.

For Faith in things we cannot see
Requires a child’s simplicity
For, lost in life’s complexities,
We drift upon uncharted seas
And slowly Faith disintegrates
While wealth and power accumulate.

And the more man learns, the less he knows,
And the more involved his thinking grows
And, in his arrogance and pride,
No longer is man satisfied
To place his confidence and love
With childlike Faith in God above.

Oh, Father grant once more to men
A simple childlike Faith again.
And, with a small child’s trusting eyes
May all men come to realize
That Faith alone can save man’s soul
And lead him to a Higher Goal.

Romans 8:28 ESV / And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Psalm 37:4-6 ESV / Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday

4. Trust
Trust is a childish virtue, but it has great merit. Have you heard the expression “Sleep like a baby”? That’s it. Childish trust. After you’ve gotten an A+ for the day, leave it in somebody else’s hands.

Curiosity, excitement, faith and trust. That is a powerful combination to bring (back) into our lives.
Proverbs 3:5 ESV / Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

Money Is Good Servant But Poor Master

"In 1923, nine of the wealthiest people in the world met at Chicago's Edge Water Beach Hotel. Their combined wealth, it is estimated, exceeded the wealth of the Government of the United States at that time. These men certainly knew how to make a living and accumulate wealth. Attending the meeting were the following men:
1. The president of the largest steel company;
2. The president of the largest utility company;
3. The president of the largest gas company;
4. The president of the New York Stock Exchange;
5. The president of the Bank of International Settlements;
6. The greatest Wheat Speculator;
7. The greatest "bear" on Wall Street;
8. The head of the World's greatest monopoly, and
9. A member of President Harding's cabinet.
That's a pretty impressive line-up of people by anyone's yardstick. Yet, 25 years later, where were those nine industrial giants?

Let’s examine what happened to them 25 years later:
1. The president of the then largest steel company (Bethlehem Steel Corp), Charles M Schwab, lived on borrowed capital for five years before he died bankrupt;
2. The president of the then largest gas company, Howard Hubson, went insane;
3. One of the greatest commodity traders (Wheat Speculator), Arthur Cutten, died insolvent;
4. Then president of the New York Stock Exchange, Richard Whitney, was sent to jail;
5. The member of US President Harding's cabinet, Albert Fall, was pardoned from jail just to be able to go home and die in peace;
6. The greatest “bear” on Wall Street, Jesse Livermore committed suicide;
7. The president of the then world’s greatest monopoly, Ivar Krueger, also killed himself;
8. The president of the Bank of International Settlement, Leon Fraser, equally took his own life;
9. The president of the largest utility company, Samuel Insull, died penniless.

What those people forgot was how to "make life” while they got busy making money! Money in itself is not evil; it provides food for the hungry, medicine for the sick, clothes for the needy. However, money is only a medium of exchange. We need two kinds of education: One that teaches us how to make a living and another that teaches us how to live. There are many of us who are so engrossed in our professional life that we neglect our family, health and social responsibilities. If asked why we do this, we would reply that "we are doing it for our family". Yet, our kids are sleeping when we leave home. And they are sleeping when we come back home! Twenty years later, we’ll turn back, and they’ll all be gone, to pursue their own dreams and their own lives.
Without water, a ship cannot move. But if the water gets into the ship, the ship will face disaster. What was once productive for the ship now becomes destructive. Similarly, we live in a time where earning is a necessity but let it not enter our hearts, so that what was once a means of living may not become a means of destruction for us as well.
So take a moment and ask yourself: "Has the water entered my ship?"

What Is Success To You Ppersonally...?

One of my Mentors grilled me thus:
What Is Success To You Personally..?
The first step toward success is deciding what you really want to achieve in your life. When you decide exactly what you want, the how to do it will emerge. When Your Heart Decides The Destination, Your Mind Will Design The Map To Reach It.

What Was The Secret of Jesus..? Jesus Perceived His Destiny..! Jesus knew where He wanted to go. Jesus knew the people who needed Him...what they needed and how to reach them. Jesus understood the dominant Divine product of every immediate Moment.
Champions always reach for the best in life…and refuse to settle for less. Champions stand out from the crowd…and will not accept mediocrity. Champions Are Willing To Walk Away From Something They Desire To Protect Something Else They Love.

Is Success Automatic..? Success is a process…the product of seasons. Success is a systematic approach that involves simple, fundamental steps. Champions Do Not Become Champions In The Ring; They Are Merely Recognized In The Ring. Their Becoming Happens…In Their Daily Routine.

Dear, Do You Have A Dream? Have you written it down? Have you documented your goals in detail on paper? That may seem trite, but how would you know where to go without a plan? A Plan Is A Written Map To Your Future. Success has a beginning. Losers Focus On What They Are Going Through; Champions Focus On What They Are Going To.

Champions Are Not Born...They Become. Champions learn through success and failure...what to ignore and what to pursue. Champions decide what to magnify...and what to minimize. They learn how to focus on Tomorrow instead of Yesterday...possibilities instead of pain. Champions Make Decisions That Create The Future They Desire; Losers Make Decisions That Create The Present They Desire.

Stay In The Center of Your Expertise. What do you love to do? What do you love to talk about? What would you rather hear about more than anything else on earth? What would you do with your life if money were not a factor? You Will Only Have Significant Success With Something That Is An Obsession.

Your Joy Is Determined By Doing What You Love. Jesus knew His mission. He never wavered from His focus. I really believe that broken focus is the reason men fail. Some people take jobs because they are convenient or close to their home. One man told me he had spent his entire life working on a job that made him miserable. “Then why have you worked there for 25 years?” I asked. He replied, “It is only 10 minutes from my house, and in 3 years I will receive a gold watch. I do not want to leave too early and miss my gold watch.”

I Would Love To Hear From You.

Nothing Is Impossible

Welcome to this edition, As I drills you on another interesting topic.
I make bold to say that nothing is impossible under the sun. How do I come to this conclusion? The ever current manner for man's successful operation on earth insights my conclusion. "For with God nothing shall be impossible." - Mark one verse thirty seven. “…they are one people with the same language for all of them, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. Nothing that they have a mind to do will be IMPOSSIBLE for them!” –Genesis chapter eleven verse six.
If determination is your anchor, there will be a constant supply of energy to accomplish your goal.

Your Attitude Determines Your Altitude.

  Your Attitude Determines Your Altitude

When you change your Attitude, you will change your world, your joy and even your finances.
Everyone Talks About Attitude. You have heard these sayings: “You need to keep a good Attitude. You need a check-up from the neck up. Your Attitude will determine your Altitude.” These are more than popular phrases; they reveal an invisible awareness of the importance of your mood birthed by your chosen focus.
Many People With Wrong Attitudes Do Not Even Realize They Possess Them. They use angry words, sarcasm or cynicism to create a desired response from others. They use their Attitude to intimidate and rule over those under their authority.
Children Can Learn To Use Wrong Attitudes Early In Life. They sometimes learn that screaming and stomping their feet will get the results they want, and so they learn to use anger to get their way. Behavior Permitted Becomes Behavior Repeated. Each of us often develops our Attitudes from childhood, right or wrong. Understanding the impact of our Attitude on ourselves and others, enables us to develop positive steps toward appropriate and responsible behavior.
Your Attitude Is More Powerful Than Your Gifts And Talents. Attitude is the powerful force that attracts others toward you or repels them away from you. Many gifted people never taste the rewards of their abilities and creativity because their Attitude makes them undesirable to be near. Your Attitude is the force that determines whether you multiply or decrease. Your Attitude Determines Your Access.
You Are Responsible For Correcting And Changing Your Own Attitude. When you change your Attitude, you will change the world around you. Attitude is the power tool God uses to help you avoid and overcome the negative circumstances in your life. Your Attitude Will Affect Your Ability. That is why the Apostle Paul learned to be content and happy, regardless of the state or situation around him. His Attitude of Thanksgiving made the difference. (See Philippians 4:11.)

What You Magnify In Your Mind Is Controlling Your Attitude. If you meditate and focus on your own mistakes, you will become very discouraged and self-critical. Eventually, your negative Attitude will turn into an abnormal criticism of others as well. Your Attitude is affecting every relationship in your life. It determines whether good relationships grow or wither. When a husband focuses on the mistakes of his wife, his Attitude will become sarcastic and cynical towards her. When he chooses to maximize her strengths and minimize her weaknesses, his Attitude of love and compassion will cause him to discover her hidden beauty and gifts.
Friends, You Cannot Change Your Attitude Until You Change What You Know. Changes Are Always Proportionate To Your Knowledge. That is why the Wisdom of God is so important. Like Dr Mike Murdock will pronounce "Your pursuit of Wisdom and obedience to God is an important decision...that will reap remarkable benefits for the rest of your life." I truly believe this.
